Kanye West, Misunderstood Genius Or Arrogant Douchebag

"I'm the number one rock star on the planet." - Kanye West, 2013.

What can we say after seeing Kanye West latest interview with Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1.. Well, he shout and let it out..

West sat down with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe for a one-hour interview where they talked about his latest album Yeezus, his new role as a family man, art and marketing. And just like in Yeezus, West attacked, cursed and named everything and everyone.. Nike, Lady Gaga, Radios, pop culture. No one was safe

The thing is, in the middle of it all, there's some sence and truth. The way he says the system (ex: Nike) limits
creativity or that Yeezus tracks are not made for radio stations makes plenty of sense. Heres' some quotes from the interview:

"I'm the number one rock star on the planet." ;

" No flip flops for black dudes. No matter where you at. Wear some hot a– Jordans on the beach!"

When someone comes up and says something like, 'I am a God,' everybody says, Who does he think he is? I JUST TOLD YOU WHO I THOUGHT I WAS: A GOD."

"Jay (z) is more realized than me. Hopefully by the time I'm his age, I'll be in that more Zenned-out place."

Genius or just arrogant? Maybe he's both... Check the full interview below and for comparison check West's interview with Kris Jenner last month. Enjoy.

ON: Bipolar Sunshine

Introducing Adio Marchant, aka Bipolar Sunshine, and his latest EP Aesthetics, a fusion between indie and pop music.

Huge groove, great vocals, and a contagious desire to chill and relax, are the words that define Bipolar Sunshine, the single project created by Adio Marchant. You might remember his voice from the six piece band that he collaborated back in the days called Kid British.

He's skills to make this amazing mix between indie and pop music gave him the chance to create his new EP, titled Aesthetics, that includes one of his most famous hit, "Rivers". He also created a song with Rudimental in twenty four hours , scary right? But not for this guy... He clearly has not nothing to lose with this new project. At the same time "Rivers" came up on the boards , the tunes "Fire" and "Blossom" also gave us the chance to confirm his amazing talent.

The song that closes the EP is actually "Blossom", that give us a touch a little bit more dramatic but also groovy. Aesthetics is not just about music, it has a cover story behind those notes: the relationship between Marchant and his grandfather, who passed away.

This relationship gave him the chance to provide a mix of emotions and bittersweet  feelings to the listeners. He created his first material inspired by famous artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Kanye West or Prince. One of his dreams is to create his own label with artists that share the same style and sound as Bipolar Sunshine.

For now, Marchant is working on studio to produce his next EP and we can't wait to hear it.. Enjoy.

Blood Orange - Chamakay

Dev Hynes is back with a new single, "Chamakay".

After spending some time working and producing music for Solange, Sky Ferreira, Laura Welsh and MKS, Blood Orange returns with a new solo project, Cupid Deluxe, his second full-length record, coming out later this year.

Below you can check the video for "Chamakay", the first single from the LP. Directed by Adam Bainbridge, aka Kindness (picture above, longside with Hynes), the video shows the musician dancing in Georgetown, Guyana, his mother's birthplace, where he reconnects with his family. Enjoy.
