The stage is set, NOS Primavera Sound is about to get started.

NOS Primavera Sound (Photo: Hugo Lima)

This Thursday, Parque da Cidade in Porto will receive the third edition of NOS Primavera Sound. After the sucess of the past two editions, 2014's edition returns with a bigger selection of international artists, as well as numerous artists from the Portuguese music scene.

The 50 acts, including the headliners The National, Kendrick Lamar, Pixies and Caetano Veloso, will perform on 4 different stages, distributed across Parque da Cidade, Portugal's largest urban park, located by the sea and perfectly framed within the city.

Although, there's only two stages open on Thurday, June 5, the line-up is quite impressive. The Portuguese group Os Da Cidade will officialy open the festivities at the primary stage while the Super Bock stage will be open by the Brazilian Rodrigo Amarante. Sky Ferreira, Haim and Jagwar Ma are a must see, but Caetano Veloso and Kendrick Lamar are the stars of the day.

On Friday, now with the festival in full swing, you will have to prepare your agenda.. Our recomendations: Vision Fortune (17:15, ATP); Midlake (18:50, Super Bock); Warpaint (20:00, NOS); Courtney Barnett (21:30, Pitchfork); Godspeed You! Black Emperor  (22:25, ATP) or Pixies (22:35, NOS); John Wizards (00:00, Pitchfork); Darkside (01:30, Pitchfork); Todd Terje (02:55, Pitchfork). If at this time you still have some strengh, check Bicep too..

Last day of Primavera Sound, another day of hard decisions.. We will definitively check You Can't Win Charlie Brown (17:55, NOS); Neutral Milk Hotel (20:00, NOS); Mas Ysa (21:05, Pitchfork); John Grant (21:25, Super Bock); The National (22:30, NOS); Charles Bradley (23:00, ATP); St. Vincent (00:10, Super Bock); Glasser (01:30, Pitchfork); Ty Segall (01:55, ATP) and Pional at the Pitchfork stage to close 2014's edition of Primavera Sound. The weather forecast is not the best, so don't forget to bring a jacket and some wellies.

To buy the remaining tickets, check accomodations, know how to arrive and what to see around Porto head to Primavera Sound's website. Check the full schedule above and our playlist for the festival below. See you there. Enjoy.
